Leave
the village by the steep steps northwards up to the saddle, delimited
to the left by Timpone del Fuoco (m 147), and to the right by Serro
delle Capre. The sign-posted path begins here at first along level
ground and then slightly rising amidst lush Mediterranean maquis full
of broom. We then reach Punta dei Corvi, where there is the most
marvellous view of the Sciara del Fuoco and the islands of
Filicudi
and Alicudi.
